I joined the Breast Cancer Assistance Group to help others dealing with the stress and financial hardship that breast cancer can cause for patients and their families. Diagnosed in 2009 my treatment included surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. While going through the ‘cancer’ journey I discovered that the Monterey Peninsula has an incredible network of caring doctors and health professionals but also saw that many people struggled financially while undergoing treatment. My goal as a board member is to expand BCAG’s support from the diverse and caring business community in the counties it serves so that we may increase our support for those in need. I live in Monterey with my husband of 24 years and our daughter who is currently attending college. My background is in marketing and ebusiness and in my spare time I enjoy gardening, reading, antiquing and spending time with family and friends.
