Patty Gomez Solis
In November 2017, at the age of 36, I was diagnosed with stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma.
I underwent chemotherapy, radiation and multiple surgeries. During my cancer journey, like many of our applicants, I constantly found myself worried about finances. I am grateful for the Breast Cancer Assistance Group of Monterey County for not only the financial aid but for the empathy and emotional support they provided. I will forever be grateful to BCAG and all the amazing organizations of Monterey County that helped me along the way.
Now I am honored to be part of BCAG and such an amazing group of ladies. As a board member I hope to help with outreach to our Spanish speaking communities. I want to make sure that language will not be a barrier in their journey. The greatest attitude of all is gratitude. And I am most grateful for my family. My husband of 12 years and our 3 beautiful children. They are my drive and my happiness. We spend our time at soccer games and love watching movies. But our all-time favorite thing to do as a family is eat. I am thankful for every day I get to spend time with them.
